Fairymade: Custom Jewelry with Whimsy

Who is Fairymade, exactly?

Picture
We're a small little company. And when I say "we," I mean me.  I make every piece of jewelry by hand, choosing rich stones, gems, and glass that emulate the beauty within in you.

I hear this is not your father's Oldsmobile.

That is true. Our goal is to create jewelry that's in style now -- and will stay that way.  We're creating "new classics."  You won't find these in your grandmother's collection of costume jewelry, but you won't find them in your junior high schooler's jewelry box, either.

So, what do the fairies make?

We have several regular styles that are always available, plus we will have a limited number of specialty pieces available seasonally. What makes us unique is that if you see a style you like, but you want a custom color or charm, we'll work with you to find just the right amount of you to put into your jewelry.  Click Catalogue above to view Fairymade's design lines.

Can I order online?

Yes, I work with you directly then charge you via Paypal.  Unfortunately, you can't choose items, place them in a cart, remember to do a last minute look for coupon codes online, and click a "submit" button while your credit card goes off to do the hard stuff.  One day, I may get there!  Until then, you may browse here or view my designs sold at Dandy Things in Historic Long Grove, Illinois.  Click "How to Order" above on how to find Dandy Things, to contact me, and information on what happens next.

Who is the chief fairy, cook, and bottle-washer?

Like so many of us, I'm a mom -- a hybrid mom.  That is, I believe I can have it all.  I'm a mom with a husband, a mortgage, a day job, a couple hobbies that take enough time to be their own day jobs (seriously, I must be nuts), and a taxi service to get everyone from Point A to Point B. Through it all, I had been noodling around with making jewelry for friends, family, and myself. Cooking's not so much my thing; jewelry, however, I seem to do well.  And I wondered ... can I do something with this?  Can I make more out of this?  Can I make a difference for my family and maybe even someone else?  And I decided that I could.  So, I set out to become even more of a hybrid mom than I already was.  And that's how Fairymade was born.
